My Gear

Ben Harris
When I'm out on the water, I wear the Helix V2. The Helix V2 is the most flexible and most comfortable barefoot suit I think I have ever worn. The suit has just the right amount of padding, which is good.

Profile

Ben Harris (UK)
Another large part of team GB Barefoot Ben Harris has only been skiing for a short period of time. He was introduced to the sport in 2002 and after hooking up with the British barefoot coach Clive Wilsdon Ben was put on a barefoot skiing training program. Ben immediately established himself as a young footer with great potential.

Like all striving young footers the path to becoming the best in the sport led Ben through Winter Haven, Florida and landed him at Ron Scapa's Watersports. Here he was coached by the best in the sport and was receiving instruction from fellow team members Ron Scarpa, Paul Macdonald, and team mate Dave Small.

Lacking the competitive experience, Ben has made a great start to his career and as been blessed with great talent on the water. Since his career start in 2003 he has been improving each year at a tremendous progression rate. At the 2004 European Championships Ben had a personal best and picked up gold in tricks, silver in slalom, and bronze in jump in Junior division.

Ben has a bright future ahead of him. With great support from his family Ben continues to push himself and learn the sport. He has been blessed with a natural athletic ability which combined with more competitive experience. This will no doubt make Ben a threat at all levels of competition. There will be some great competitive battles with teammate David Small in the years to come. It will be exciting.

Ben's Best:
Slalom - 15
Jump - 19.1m
Tricks - 4,990 pts.
Sponsors - Vortex Wetsuits, GB Barefoot Team , McDonalds, Gath, Gryphon
