Jody Sherwood (USA)
Jody Sherwood has been skiing since the age of 10 and is an AWSA certified waterski instructor. She grew up around the water so it was natural to have a passion for becoming a professional water skier. It wasn't until 1995 when she started barefoot skiing recreationally when she decided this was the sport she wanted to excel in. Growing up in the midwest she had plenty of resources and lived in a strong barefoot community. The only problem and like so many others from her area, she skied a very short season.

In 1997 she packed up and headed down to Florida. She wound up hooking up with Ron Scarpa Watersports and started to work and ski with World Champion Ron Scarpa. At this time Jody was able to spend almost a full year on the water instructing and training. From 1997 until present Jody has constantly been training and competing in Barefoot tournaments around the United States.

Jody has a long history of top finishes and is respected and one of the top female professional barefooters. Recently she had the tournament of her life at the 2006 World Championships in Adna, Washington. She received Gold medals in the Senior Women's division across all three disciplines and Gold in Open Women's trick division.

Jody's experience and attitude for barefooting are very unique. She is a true professional and is an important part of Team Vortex.
