I love to trick and slalom in the Helix V2 because it is light weight and flexible enough to allow me to put my body in many different positions without being impeded by the wetsuit. Which is very uncommon amung barefoot suits.
A talented instructor, and constantly developing skier, Paul Macdonald has slowly developed a name for himself in the sport of barefoot waterskiing during the past 7 years of competition. Beginning as one of the worst skiers on his lake, Paul has worked hard to develop his skiing and instructional skills enough to be the head instructor at the world famous Ron Scarpa's Barefoot Training Center.
Paul currently lives in Winter Haven, FL year round, having traded in the cold winters of Ontario, Canada for the tropical Florida weather. Since moving to Florida, Paul has won 6 Regional Overall titles, 2 Canadian National titles, and numerous local overall titles in his quest to be the best barefoot waterskier in the world.
As Canadian National Team member and coach, Canadian Barefoot Council Chairman, writer for WaterSki Magazine, and instructor, Paul is constantly working hard to promote the growth of barefooting around the world. He spends his summers traveling around the world teaching barefoot clinics, competing in tournaments, and promoting barefooting, and standing behind him every step of the way will be Vortex Wetsuits. As a company dedicated to developing the sport of barefooting by providing skiers with quality wetsuits and apparel, Vortex and Paul plan to lead the barefooting community into a future filled with personal bests and world records.
